This is one of many short video segments which will be added to the Digital Tipping Point (DTP) archive. This series of segments features one of Hewlett Packard's greatest open source software stars, Stormy Peters. And yes, every one really calls her Stormy. You've just gotta be impressed by parents who would name their baby girl Stormy. What a prophecy for a child's life. And true to her name, Stormy Peters has achieved great things. Stormy works at OpenLogic where she set up and manages the OpenLogic Expert Community. Previously she worked at Hewlett-Packard in Fort Collins, Colorado where she was responsible for HP's open source strategy, policy and business practices. (This video was taped during that time frame.) She started work at HP in the Unix Development Lab as a software engineer and later became a founding member of HP's Linux division. She holds a computer science degree from Rice University.

Stormy is a dream from a documentary filmmaker's point of view. She gives short, meaningful answers, she covers the subject completely without waffling, dodging or evading. She speaks in full and complete sentences. She is engaging and hold's the audience's intention. Her command of the subject is impeccable, and she can explain complex concepts in concise bites.
